Frequently asked questions
Tax Filing Questions, Answered
Do you prepare individual returns if I don’t own a business?
Yes. Individual tax preparation is available for employees, families, retirees, and other personal tax filers, as well as business owners and self-employed individuals.
How are tax preparation fees determined?
Fees depend on your filing needs, return complexity, required forms, and federal and state returns. Your scope and fee will be confirmed before preparation begins.
What if I’m missing a tax document?
Let me know which document is missing. Complete records help ensure your return reflects your income and tax information accurately. We’ll discuss what is needed and the next steps.
Does an extension give me more time to pay?
An extension generally gives you additional time to file your return, not additional time to pay tax due. Tell me early if you may need an extension so we can discuss your situation and applicable deadlines.
How do I get started?
Schedule a consultation and share whether you need an individual return, a business return, or both. You’ll receive next steps for your engagement and document preparation. Please keep sensitive tax information out of public inquiry forms.
